He is survived by: his wife Anna Filicko Hovan; his sons, John Hovan Jr. (Connie) of South Carolina, Paul Hovan Sr. (Susan) of Stratford and Michael Hovan (Rebecca) of Texas; his grandchildren, Ashlee Tayag (Edward), Breanna Hovan, Shannon Hovan, Paul Hovan Jr. (Beverly), Michael John Hovan and Kelly Hovan; and his great grandchildren, Ellis, Griffin, Zoey, Quinn and Paul III. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
