He was predeceased by: his parent Bento Alves Dias; his son Jose Dias; and his siblings, Ana, Joaquina, Joao, Bento, Victor and Jose.
He is survived by: his parent Teresa Goncalves; his wife Maria; his children, John Dias (Katherine) of Long Island, NY and Maria Julia Esteves (Carlos) of Trumbull; his grandchildren, Nicole, Paul (Priya), John, Daniel, Matthew (Amanda), Joseph, Jason and Ashley; and his great grandchildren, Jack and Zara. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
