He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Talarino Vitale; and his parents, Patrick J. Sr. Vitale and Catherine M. DiGirolamo Vitale. He is survived by: his children, Victoria Vitale Niedermeier (Bob) of Trumbull, Gina Marie Vitale Gomperts of North Carolina, Jerome Vitale Jr. (Mindy) of Trumbull and Anthony Vitale (Bekki Gredinger) of Stamford; his grandchildren, Charity Palamara Curry (Joe), Joseph Palamara, Jordan, Emily, William, Jack Gomperts, Rocco, Santino, Siena Lucia and Sofia Vitale; and his siblings, Patrick J. Vitale Jr. (Marcelene), Thomas Vitale Sr. (Olga) and Grace Rowland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
