He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Swarney Chuga; his parents, Joseph Chuga and Elizabeth Deri Chuga; and his brother Derry Chuga (Maureen). He is survived by: his children, Gregory Chuga and Deborah Hamilla; his son-in-law John Hamilla Jr.; and his grandsons, John Hamilla III, Matthew Hamilla and Stephen Hamilla.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lesko Funeral Home (1209 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Emery Church (838 Kings Hwy E, Fairfield, CT 06825). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Lawncroft Cemetery (1740 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06825).
