He was predeceased by: his parents, Generoso Scaperotta and Wilhelmina La Rosa Scaperotta; his brother William; and his nephew Matthew Scaperotta. He is survived by: his wife Alexandria "Sandy" Yezik Scaperotta; his children, Paula (Carl Haggstrom), Gene Jr. Scaperotta (Eve), JoAnn (Jerry Young) and Diana Miller; his grandchildren, Travis, Sean Young, Eric, Matthew Haggstrom, Alex, Libby Scaperotta, Cassidy and Allie Miller; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Neil Haggstrom, Taylor, Aubree Young, Gabe, Harper and Hadley Young. He is also survived by four children, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
