It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene Carpentier (Trumbull, Connecticut), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on January 28, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Hansen and Ruth Hansen; her former husbands, Stanley Swanson and Robert Carpentier; her daughter Marilyn Swanson; her stepson Richard Carpentier; and her stepson-in-law Michael McCann.

She is survived by: her son David Swanson (Lisa) of Killingworth; her stepdaughters, Jeannine McCann of Stratford, Corinne Bylone (James) and Lori Carpentier of Florida; her grandchildren, Timothy Swanson of Ohio, Stephanie and Evan Swanson of Killingworth, CT; and her stepgrandchildren, Michelle McGuire of Stratford, Sean McCann of Southbury, John Carpentier and James Bylone of Florida.
