He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Elmore and Marion Wheeler Bailey; his children, Christy Bailey (Herb Shumway) of Ashland, MA, Anne Hoover (Hap) of Easton and Cory Bailey (Nancy) of Fairfield; his son-in-law Fred MacEachron of New York; his sister Mary Marquardt of Strafford, NH; his wife Avis Gilbert Bailey (Jill); and his daughter Allison B. MacEachron of New York. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
