He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Pierson Amato; his children, Edward Amato (Diane) of West Haven and Anna Spinelli (Ralph) of Effingham, NH; his son-in-law Joseph Toto of Hollywood, FL; his siblings, Dominic Amato and Mary Lou Amato of Trumbull; his grandchildren, Edward Amato, Jr. (Dakota), Gina Amato, Ralph Spinelli, Jr., Felicia Maguire (John), Anthony Spinelli, Tyler and Christopher Toto; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Nicholas.
