He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Charlotte I. Crandall Amato; his parents, Michaele J. Amato and Teresa Muzio Amato; his children, Gwendolyn T. Minalga of Trumbull, Michaele John Amato (Kimberly) of Bristol and Donnamarie Del Pietro (Peter) of Hudson, FL; his grandchildren, Holly Bayerle (Richard, Sr.) of Naugatuck, Shannon Amato of Milford, Rachelle Hall (Allen) of Waterbury and Stephanie Haywood (Tully) of Naugatuck; his great grandchildren, Gerald Paradis, Kristiana Amato, Dominic Paradis, Miranda Haywood, William Haywood, Nicole Peltier, Richard Bayerle Jr. and Aliana Toccaline; his sister Marylou Amato of Trumbull; his granddaughter Nicole Millie Arsenault; his brothers, Felix and Johnny Amato; and his son-in-law Michael Minalga. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
