He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Patrick Joseph Martin and Anne Theresa Martin (Dougherty); his children, Cathleen (Vincent Prespentt), Charles (Julie), Maureen Riggsbee of Kure Beach, NC., Timothy (Maria), Theresa (Peter O'Callaghan), Patricia of Kure Beach, NC. and Michael (Sharon); his brother Jim; his siblings-in-law, Jackie Martin of Pompano Beach, Florida and Calvin Gleckler of Old Bethpage; and his wife Mary. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
