He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Alber and Anna Alber (Kaiser); and his siblings, Ernest Alber and Doris Kerrigan. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Alber (McBride); his children, James Alber (Kathy) of Woodbridge, CT, Thomas Alber (Denise) of Wayland, MA, Kenneth Alber (Cathy) of Smithfield, RI, Robert Alber of Nashua, NH and Karen Kruzan (John) of Columbus, OH; his sisters, Betty Lecza (Roger) of Guilford, CT and Carla Marino of Clinton, CT.; and his grandchildren, Mary Kate, Meg, Dan (Natasha), Tricia, Matt, Aileen, Kathryn, Brad, Amy, Chris, Blake and Emily. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, services and interment are private.
