He is survived by: his parent Giovanna Del; his sons, Paulo Cardinale (Concetta) of Danbury, Gianni "John" Cardinale (Robyn) of Trumbull and Anthony Cardinale (Jennifer) of Trumbull; his grandchildren, Lori Swaylik (Kirk), Christie Blom (Jay), Amy Cardinale, Nick Dube, Joseph Cardinale (Danielle), Matthew, Emily, Anna and Michael Cardinale; his great grandchildren, Olivia Swaylik, William Bennett, Jacob Bennett, Paige Dube, Nicholas Dube, Joseph Cardinale, Jr and Vincent Cardinale; his great great grandchildren, Julius Swaylik and Adrea Swaylik; his brother Carlo Cardinale of Italy; and also Uomo Cardinale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
