Gratrix Sr. of Trumbull, Connecticut, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Gratrix and Frances Gratrix; his wife Marilyn Hahn Gratrix; his former wife Betty Jean Gratrix (Goodwin Link); and his sister-in-law Helen Gratrix of Trumbull.
He is survived by: his son Alfred E. Gratrix Jr. (Nancy Austin) of Westport; his grandson Todd Austin of Westport; his daughter Megan Philpott (Brian) of Weston; his granddaughters, Kate and Hannah; his son Edward Gratrix (Danielle) of Monroe; his grandsons, Jacob and Matthew; his brother Herbert Gratrix of Trumbull; and his stepson Jason Link. He is also survived by family in PA, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Crohn's Colitis Foundation or Swim Across the Sound (for cancer) in honor of Al.
