Matthews of Trumbull, Connecticut, born in Danbury, Connecticut, who passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Matthews and Bahee Azar Matthews; and his brothers, Louis and Fred Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Anna Zamary Matthews; his children, Katherine Buzel (George) of Trumbull, David Matthews of Newtown, Michael Matthews (Carolyn) of Southbury and Mary McNelis (David) of Woodbridge; and his grandchildren, Sara (Paul Buzel), David (Jacquelyn Matthews), Kevin (Alexandra Matthews), Daniel (Alexandra), Michael and Jonathan (Victoria McNelis). He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews.
