With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Yelitza Hernandez of Torrington, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Angel Richardson and Carmen Richardson (Ramos). She is survived by: her husband Heriberto "Herbie" Hernandez; her sisters, Grizelma Cruz and Agneris Hernandez; and her children, Angel Hernandez (Laura), Yelitza Sherrod (Todd) of Winsted and Vilma Hernandez of Torrington. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Phalen Funeral Home (285 Migeon Ave, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at the St. Francis Cemetery (863 S Main St, Torrington, CT 06790).
