He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph P. Kopler and Carmen I. Kopler (Martinez); and his brother Anthony J. Kopler. He is survived by: his children, Nathan J. Kopler of Torrington and Rileigh P. Kopler of Torrington; his stepson Jason T. VonHoorn of Miami, FL; his siblings, Michael J. Kopler (Dianne) and Patricia J. Sosnowski (Mark); and his niece Julia E. Sosnowski of Torrington.
