John W. Quinn Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Quinn Jr. of Torrington, Connecticut, born in White Haven, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Quinn, Sr. and Ethel Quinn (Snyder); and his son Steven D. Quinn. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Quinn (Ackers); his children, Scott G. Quinn (Jennifer) of Torrington, Eric J. Quinn (Clarissa) of New Hartford, Beth Ann Canny (Robert) of Torrington and Jacquelyn L. Wassik (Thomas) of Torrington; his siblings, James Quinn of White Haven, PA, Robert Quinn (Bonnie) of White Haven, PA, David Quinn (Shelly) of White Haven, PA, Katherine Pierce (Donald) of White Haven, PA and JoAnn Bove (Daniel); and his daughter-in-law Tracy Quinn of Colebrook. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home (258 Prospect St, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church - New Hartford (39 Prospect St, New Hartford, CT 06057). Prior to the pandemic and his illness, he also enjoyed volunteering at Hands of Grace.
