He was predeceased by: his father Charles Sommerfeldt. He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Gaskell (Persechino) of Torrington; his son Jason P. Sommerfeldt, Jr.; his aunt Paula Persechino of Torrington; his stepfather Robert "Bob" Gaskell of Torrington; and his close friend Ray.
