He was predeceased by: his wife Agnes K. Patterson; his siblings, Phyllis Arsego, Elinore Day, Barbara L. Perkins, Roderick J. Perkins, Kenneth Reynolds and Patty Patterson; and his foster parents, James F. Perkins and Thelma B. Perkins of Norfolk, CT..
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald Patterson, Jr. of Torrington and Michael B. Patterson (Janet) of Surfside Beach; his grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob and Dakota (Coco); and his caregivers, Lynda and Chelsea. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
