It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George A. Anderson of Torrington, Connecticut, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen F. Anderson (Murtagh); and his parents, George T. Anderson and Eleanor Anderson (Edney). He is survived by: his children, Julia Hrica (Kenneth) of Litchfield, Christine Anderson (Jay Steinberg) of Riverside, IL, Jeanne Anderson (Kenneth Reynolds) of Cupertino, CA, Richard Kobylenski (Donna Nadeau) of Torrington, CT and David Kobylenski (Erlinda Canseco) of New Britain; his sister Dorothy Lawler of Fayetteville, GA; his brother-in-law Robert Murtagh of Torrington; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Stephen, Zoe, Max and Dustin. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (220 Prospect St, Torrington, CT 06790). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
