She was predeceased by: her husband John E. Potter Jr.; her parents, Maurice Parsons and Hazel Parsons (Roys); and her son John E. Potter III. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey E. Potter (Bonnie) of Newburyport, MA., James E. Potter (Patricia) of Torrington, Jay E. Potter of Torrington, Janis E. McConnell (David) of Burlington, CT., Jean E. Tyburski (Paul) of Somers, CT. and Joan E. Thibault (Rene) of Bristol, CT.; and her daughter-in-law Sofia Potter Steiner of Chesapeake, VA.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home (258 Prospect St, Torrington, CT 06790). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (76 Walnut St, Torrington, CT 06790).
