He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Surdam (Bailey); his parents, William Surdam and Margaret Surdam (Dietlin); his children, Karen Stoddard and Michael Surdam; and his siblings, William Surdam, Betty Annechario (Surdam) and Florence Pisiakowski (Surdam).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Tammy Martin, Thomas Mellott, Joseph Haag and Tina Runk; and his siblings, Irving Surdam and Beatrice Surdam. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, one great-great- grandson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thurston Rowe Funeral Home (283 Torrington Rd, Litchfield, CT 06759). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:45 PM at the Bantam Cemetery (715 Bantam Rd, Bantam, CT 06750).
