Ann Marie Patricia Comerford-Baujin Obituary
Ann Marie Patricia Comerford-Baujin, unexpectedly passed at the age of 57 on November 22, 2023.
Ann Marie is survived by her children; Noah Baujin and Ada Baujin; her father John Comerford; her siblings John, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Maureen and their respective spouses; her parents in-law Jorge and Hortensia; her many beloved nieces and nephews; and the countless friends who have become family.
Ann Marie was born on October 17, 1966 in New York, New York to Margaret Ann Comerford and John Joseph Comerford. She graduated from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in 1988 with Bachelor Degrees in Special Education and Psychology and an Associates Degree in Biology. She was a special education teacher in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
In 1996, she had her first child, Noah Baujin. Three years after his birth, she had a daughter in 1999, Ada Baujin. Soon after, she decided to become a homeschool teacher to her two children. One of her proudest life-long accomplishments was raising and teaching her children through most of her life.
Ann Marie was the most incredible person anyone could ever have the pleasure of meeting. She was a champion and a voice for those who needed it. She valued fairness above all. Every time she met a new person, she would make them feel as though they had known each other for a lifetime. Her resolve and determination to accomplish any goal she set her mind to was awe-inspiring. She had an indomitable will to make everyone feel important and loved.
Over the course of her life, she had countless passions. She was a Girl Scout Leader for over 10 years. One of her personal highest accolades was helping all the Girl Scouts in her troop achieve their Gold Award. When Ann Marie was at home, she could always be found in her garden. She would spend hour after hour growing all types of plants, flowers, vegetables, and fruits. One of her favorite flowers was the weed, Golden Rod. Every Tuesday she would spend her mornings at Two Hearts Pregnancy Care Center. She would volunteer her time helping mothers and families care for their children. Ann Marie adored the art of photography. Whether she was at a party, visiting friends and family, or it was just a normal day, she lived her life looking through the lens of a camera.
Her wake will be held at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington on Thursday, November 30th, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.. We will collect personal letters from people who would like to leave a note in her casket. Her funeral will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St, Torrington, CT 06790 on December 1st, at 10:00 A.M.
