She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon DeSmet and Martha DeSmet (Spanhover); her daughter Laura Dowgiewicz-Kupferschmid; and her siblings, Roberta "Ber" Wildham of Valier, MT and Albert "Butch" DeSmet of Boring, Oregon..
She is survived by: her husband Jack; her sons, John (Tracy Dowgiewicz), Brian (Susannah Dowgiewicz), Kevin (Tami Dowgiewicz) and Jason (Kristin Dowgiewicz); her son-in-law Cory Kupferschmid of Ellington; her siblings, Gabe DeSmet of Powers, MT and Betty Meuli of Conrad, MT; her grandchildren, Olivia, Emily (Amanda Dowgiewicz), Margo, Rex (Ross Dowgiewicz), Ryan (Brett Dowgiewicz), Isabella (Jackson Kupferschmid), Josh and Emma (Charlotte Dowgiewicz); and her niece Diana Weisgram. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
