He is survived by: his wife Catherine M. Cardin (Jones); his children, Robert J. Cardin (Mary Beth) of Glastonbury, Mary B. Cardin (Michael V. Taft) of Ellington, Catherine M. Noble (Norman) of West Suffield, Michael J. Cardin (Kristie) of Ellington and Joseph P. Cardin (Pamela) of Saco, Maine.; his grandchildren, Bobby, Joseph Taft, Jack Cardin, Caitlin, Meghan Cardin, Sean Noble, Christie Taft Ecott, Dan Ecott, Finley, Paul, Lynn Taft, Brianna Taft, Chelsea, Dalton, Mason, Halei and Hunter Frey; and his siblings, Helena Gannon of Saco, Marilyn Cormier of East Hartford, Roland Cardinand (Patricia) of Tolland and Rosemary Brener (Howard) of Manchester.
