She was predeceased by: her husband Donald L. Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Eric Nelson of Tennessee and Lori Ann Nelson of California; her grandchildren, Margie Newman of California, Ryan Mason of Hong Kong, William Nelson and Rebecca Nelson of Connecticut; her great grandchildren, Suzianne Mason, Newman Mason of California, Amelie Mason and Lorelei Mason of Hong Kong; and also Fran Nelson of Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manchester Church of Christ's Senior Saints Fund or to the Tolland Senior Center.
