Michael George Houghton Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Michael George Houghton of Thompson, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 72, on April 19, 2025. He was predeceased by: his wife Gale A. Houghton; and his parents, George Houghton and Marie Houghton (Lou). He is survived by: his children, Shawn Houghton (Sheri) of Putnam, Shannon Bates (Shawn) of Putnam and Heather Dietz-Millette (Matthew) of Woodstock; his brothers, Tom Houghton of Webster and Jim Houghton (Brenda) of Woodstock; and his grandchildren, Ashley (Kaitlyn), Alyssa, Johnny, Haley, Logan, Trevor, Carly and Kayla.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home (148 Grove St, Putnam, CT 06260). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (218 Providence St, Putnam, CT 06260).
