He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Houghton and Madora Houghton (Bessett); and his siblings, Marilyn Babbitt, Sheila Lavoie, Douglas Houghton and Richard Houghton.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Cecile Houghton (Dion) of Thompson, CT; his sons, Michael Houghton of Danielson, CT, Thomas Houghton of Webster, MA and James Houghton (Brenda) of Woodstock, CT.; and his siblings, Beverly Jankowski, Judy Vertefeuille, Roy Converse and Ronald Houghton, Sr..
