He is survived by: his wife Karen Place (Hewey); his children, Andrew Place (Nikki Huard) of Monson, MA, Elizabeth Thomas (Chris Stallings) of Melbourne, FL and Jessica Thomas (Paul Brodeur) of Palm Bay, FL; his siblings, Cindy Labonte (Place) of Putnam, CT, Richard "Pete" Place (Audrey), Karen Lapalme (Place) of Brookfield, CT and Donald Place of Thompson, CT; his grandchildren, Kiara, Kailani, Olivia, Kalayah, Cameron, Hunter, Blake, Sophie, Carter, Gage and AJ; and his great grandchild Anna Bella. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
