Shirley Anne Newsome Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2019, at the age of 89, Shirley Anne Newsome (Thomaston, Connecticut) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Savelkoul and Hazel Savelkoul; her brother Joseph; and her sister-in-law Lois Ryan. She is survived by: her husband George; her sons, George Jr. (Christine) of Thomaston, Richard (Wendy) of Thomaston, Robert Sr. (Louise) of Thomaston and John (Sierria) of Thomaston; her brother Lawrence Savelkoul (Janet); and her grandchildren, George III (Kristen), Maryann, Robert Jr. (Chrissy), Sarah, Philip (Kelly), Karen and Donna. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shirley's name to Thomaston Emergency Services including Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department, and Thomaston Police Department.
