He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Bothroyd and Virginia H. Bothroyd; his siblings, Nancy Peck and Scott Bothroyd; and his niece Wendy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Bothroyd (Bowkett); his sons, Robert Jr. (Janet) and James A. (Bridget); his grandchildren, Gillian, James M. and Conner; and his brother James W. (Beatrice). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Walk thru calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 1, from 12:00 P. M. to 2:00 P. M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston (Covid 19 restrictions and social distancing will be strictly enforced). Services and burial will be private.
