He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Lafontaine and Eva Lafontaine (Landry); his son Matthew; and his brothers, Marcel, Roger and Andre.
He is survived by: his wife Helena R. Lafontaine (Rotella); his sons, Brian L. Lafontaine of Thomaston and Jason R. Lafontaine (Erin) of Shelton; his sister-in-law Lena Lafontaine of Queensbury, NY; and his caregiver Louise Ritter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
