She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Cote and Martha Cote (Hanel). She is survived by: her husband Gary Balch; her daughter Nicole J. Thompson (Chip) of Thomaston; and her grandchildren, Ryne (Allie) and Kylan.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kathy's name to the Animal Rescue Foundation 366 Main St. Terryville, CT 06786.
