Frances Rothe Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2021, at the age of 99, Frances Rothe of Thomaston, Connecticut, born in Salamanca, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances Rothe to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raymond T. Axelby and Minnie F. Axelby; her sister Betty White of Thomaston; her children, Carol Pytel (John) of Thomaston and Gary Rothe (Barbara) of Warner, NH; her brother Raymond E. Axelby; and her granddaughter Caryn Pytel. She was also cherished by 3 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren.
She was an accomplished sewer, making clothes for her daughter's dolls, clothes for the family, and in later years, assisted in Women's Fellowship projects such as making clothes for African children, and more recently, making masks for the pandemic.
The family requests no flowers. In lieu thereof, donations may be made to: the First Congregational Church Steeple Fund; Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps; or the Thomaston Public Library.
