She was predeceased by: her father Emil Konopaske. She is survived by: her son Brandon C. Zanauskas; her daughter-in-law Michelle Zanauskas (Wood); her grandchildren, Wyatt and Meadow of Canton; her brother Thomas Konopaske (Marlena); her niece Tammy Lavenski; and her nephew Dr. Glenn Konopaske.

In honor of Karen's dedication to teaching and learning, donations in her memory can be sent to Collinsville Bank in Canton, care of Wyatt and Meadow Zanauskas to support the future education goals of her beloved grandchildren.
