He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Zalaski Sr.; his daughter-in-law Karen Zalaski; his grandson Michael Sebastianelli; and his siblings, Lillian Krinitsky and Michael Zalaski.
He is survived by: his mother Anna Zalaski (Dul); his wife Lois McAloon (McAloon) of Terryville, CT; his children, Thomas of Green Bay, WI, Josh (Denise) of East Hartford, Jo-Ann Zalaski (Mark Eucalitto) of Burlington, CT, Matthew Zalaski (Gerri Simkins) of West Chester, PA and Lisa Zalaski (Derek Oatis) of Glastonbury, CT.; his grandchildren, Michael Zalaski (Dasa), Lauren Arteaga (Andres), Kevin, Katie Zalaski, Jonathan and Justin Zalaski; his great grandchildren, Jordan Pappas, Chance, Mila, Landry Zalaski, Lucas and Anna Arteaga; his goddaughter Cathryn Krinitsky (John Swanke); his sister Henrietta Donato (Joseph); his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Baich (Rick) and Edward McAloon Jr. (Maryann); and his friends, Bernie and Jean O'Keefe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
