He is survived by: his son Martin G. Bernoski (Catherine); his granddaughter Brigid of West Hartford; his sisters, Shirley Kellas of Thomaston and Carol Mendela of Terryville; and his sister-in-law Linda MacHenry (David) of New Hartford.
