Thomas G. Quinley wrote a sympathy message

“The Fire Service has lost an excellent advocate for the use of common sense, doing what is right, and being safe while helping others in difficulty. Dick’s easy demeanor and ability to bring laughter into a situation is not a common trait. Our work together between Taftville and Yantic and across the entire City through the Volunteer Firefighters Relief Fund Committee is a testament to his commitment to improve the lives of FF’s & the citizens of Norwich. RIP my good friend. TGQ”
