He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Sylvia (Joanne) of Windsor Locks and Dr. James Sylvia (Lisa Ann) of Kinston, NC; his grandchildren, Jason (Susan), Joseph (Elizabeth), Zachary, Elliana and Isabelle; his close friend Ann Johnson of New Britain; and also, David (Maria) and Jason.
