She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Murphy and Louise Murphy (Hoey); her son James Carnes; her sister Doris Jane Hutchins; and her stepchildren, Brian Holmes and Mimi Edmonds.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Carnes of Freemont, CA, Anne Carnes of Portland, OR and Naomi Carnes of Ann Arbor, MI; and her stepchildren, Ted Holmes (Paula) of North Granby, CT, Bobbie Johnson (Phil) of West Suffield, Lenny Holmes (Andrea) of West Suffield and Margie Sabin of Victor, NY. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
