It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ione Mary Gillen of Suffield, Connecticut, who passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sylvester Vanden Heuvel and Frances Vanden Heuvel (Vander Bloemen); her husband Paul Francis Gillen; her children, Mary Frances Berstene (Michael), Stephen Peter Gillen (Karen Sue), Christopher Mark Gillen (Joanne), Anne Marie Hansen (Steven) and John William Gillen (Susan); and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Gallagher (Berstene), Kathryn Berstene, Matthew Gillen, Andrew Gillen, Rebecca Hansen, Erik Hansen, Amy Sieber (Gillen) and Melissa Billy (Gillen).
