He is survived by: his children, Donald Matthew Smith of Enfield and Hope Smith; his son-in-law John Salas of Windsor Locks; his grandchildren, Tia Batchelder (Allen), Jade Fleury (Roy), Tabitha Mirisola (Jeff) and Joshua Smith (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Nick, Jake, Noah, Chloe, Madi, Lilly, Alex and Vianna; and his friend Thomas Jennison.
