Rose M White Obituary
Rose Marie Lecardo White, age 90 of Stratford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of George E. White Jr. Born in Bridgeport on February 23, 1934 she was the daughter of Nicolas and Theresa Lecardo. Rose was a bookkeeper at Center Auto Supply for many years until her retirement. She was known and loved for her lively sense of humor whether at home, at parties, or at her weekly Bingo games with friends. She was also proud and bragged about her expertise in solving crossword puzzles in pen. Not knowing if it was just her sense of humor or not, always noted that was a must to be put in her obituary. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her daughter, Laurie White Petreycik of Stratford, daughter in-law, Patricia White of Stratford, her brother, John (Marion) Lecardo of Stratford and his children; Jackie (Peter) Mahoney and Kimberly (Ken) Carlson. Also survived by her grandchildren; Edward White Jr., Matthew White, DJ (Kyrsten) Petreycik, Tess Petreycik, Megan White, and her first great grandchild, Ashton Jeffery Petreycik. Rose also leaves behind her BFF Betty Carrafiello of Stratford.
In addition to her parents and her husband George, she was predeceased by her son, Edward G. White Sr., son in-law, David Petreycik, and nephew Wayne Lecardo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 21, 2014 at 11:00 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
