He is survived by: his parents, Richard Syx and Patricia Syx (Lynch); his brother Christopher (Rebecca); his nieces and nephews, Amelia, Logan and Marlaina; his sister Melanie (Jason); and his nephew Elias. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
