He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward S. Scofield and Irene Scofield (Van Ormer); and his siblings, Richard, Robert, Roger, Mary Lou and Russell.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law John Carroll (Jack); his sons, Edward Scofield of Stratford, Robert Scofield of Stratford and Thomas Scofield of Seymour; his grandchildren, Emily, Charlie, William and Kyleigh; and his sisters-in-law, June Carroll of Wallingford and Lillian Krause of Westport. He is also survived by best friends who shared a devotion to their children and grandchildren.
