He was predeceased by: his father Van Brown. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his mother Cora Brown; his siblings, Frankie Cintron (Ray) of Brooklyn, NY, Yuvanda Brown Yeo (Yacouba) of Hamden, CT and Marshall Sims of Zephyrhills, FL.; his nieces and nephews, Ebony Grace (Richard), Alida Chambers (Michael), Sheniqua Little (Ella) and Darnell Brown (Christina); his sister-in-law Judy Guerra; and his niece Jessica Guerra.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nelson's memory can be made to the Yale Stroke Center.
