It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Lou (Parchem) Pelfrey of Stratford, Connecticut, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Troy Pelfrey (Gene); her parents, John Parchem and Margaret Parchem (Freiburger); and her daughters, Mary Margaret (Kitty) and Diane.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jack (Marge) and Catherine; her children, Bill (Linda), Catherine, Caroline (Dave), Troy Jr. (Ginny) and Christine; and her grandchildren, Barry, Michael, Daniel, Jason, Chad, Jessica, Stephen, Troy III, Evan, Andrew and Eugene. She is also survived by spouses and many great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, many beloved nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
The family is deeply grateful to Dr. David Jutkowitz for his many years of care and compassion and to the nurses of Bridgeport Hospital, especially on the Northwest 7 Covid Unit for their kindness and patience in such exceedingly difficult circumstances.
