She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Pekar and Barbara Landry Pekar; and her brother James Pekar. She is survived by: her grandson Oliver; her husband John Whaley; her sons, John Whaley Jr. (Lauren Marchello) of Bridgeport and Jesse Whaley (Nicole Johnson); and her siblings, Thomas Pekar, William Pekar and Patricia Maietto. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
