He was predeceased by: his wife Teresa Costello (Pierelli); his parents, Patrick Costello and Kathleen Costello of Ireland; his children, Steven Costello, Robert Costello, David Costello (Kristin) and Laura Costello (Saul Jacobowitz); his former wife Cynthia; his children, Joseph Costello Jr. (Jolie), Diane McGonnigle (James) and Michael Costello; and his sister Patricia Poulin.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Joe, Kyle, Renee, Rebecca, Michael, Brian, Hazel, Olive, Fiona, Nora and Owen; and his sister Kathleen May. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
