She was predeceased by: her parents, Maximiano Moura and Elza Moura; and her husband Mario F. Sousa. She is survived by: her daughter Ana Paula Sousa-Martins (Steve O'Connell); her granddaughters, Jillian and Hannah Martins; her siblings, Berta Marsillio, Luis Moura (Lina), Fernando Moura (Mary) and Max Moura (Maria); her nieces and nephews, Annette, Luis, Denise, Fernando, Katie and Mathew; and her godchildren, Maxine (Mark), Carla Moreira, Rui Rainho, Jennifer Duque and Michael Duque.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral & Cremation Services (2220 Main St, Stratford, CT 06615). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport, CT 06608).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Cesar A. Batalla Field Trips to honor Ilda's lifelong commitment to working with the children of Bridgeport.
